Ace broadcast Journalist, Captain Smart has fired the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto noting that he sleeps at International conferences and sleep ‘hatiiii’ like a baby yet wakes up to tell Ghanaians food prices are stable.
Dr. Owusu Afriyie has said that prices of food has seen no increment but the Onua Maakye show host disagrees with the Minister as he says prices of food has seen an exponential increment.
Despite a recent data from Ghana Statistical Service indicated that increasing rate in food prices pushed the rate of inflation above a single digit but the Agric Minister says statistics compiled by his outfit doesn’t show an increase in prices of food.
”That is the wrong perception. The statistics that we compiled in this Ministry do not support that”, Dr. Afriyie mentioned during the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed members of Irrigation Company of Upper Region (ICOUR).
The Minister explained that the reduced size of Kenkey was because of drought seen in the Southern part which affected supply of maize.
Angry Captain Smart who disagrees with the Minister says he ”attends conferences and he sleeps hatiiii like a baby snoring horrhorr like a goat and then he wakes up and say prices of food hasn’t risen up”.
