You Make Noise About #FixTheCountry Yet Don’t Want To Pay Taxes-Gabby Otchere-Darko To E-Levy critics

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Gabby Otchere-Darko has expressed concern over complaints coming from Ghanaians regarding the 2022 budget especially the E-Levy imposed on Mobile Money transactions in the country.

He couldn’t fathom on why the very same Ghanaians who screamed #fixthcountry are fighting against government’s innovative way of raising money to develop the country.

Mr. Otchere made this comment via a tweet on Monday 22nd November 2021.

”Ghana’s development paradox. You say you want the country fixed. Yet, you are against raising revenue to get it fixed! Motives matter!”, he wrote.

This comes after Ghanaians complained over the 1.75% tax which the government during the 2022 budget presentation in Parliament on 17th November mentioned will be imposed on mobile money transactions from GHS100 upward.
