Serious Countries Do Not Make Stuff Like Washawa Say Trend-Kwabena Kwabena

Legendary Ghanaian musician, Kwabena Kwabena has expressed worry over how Ghanaians play with everything in the country especially music.

According to him music is not comedy but serious business and should not be taken for granted.

He stated that in Ghana, certain songs are popularized which has too much sensation and humour in there instead of serious music that will sell the country.

Kwabena Kwabena mentioned that Ghanaians always make reference of their neighbours as far as music is concerned and that is so because they don’t sing ”washawa say”.

”We popularize certain songs which in my opinion the sensationalism is too much and the humour is too much. Music is not comedy, music is serious business.”

”Why are we playing with it. We always make example with our neighbours. Have you seen how serious they are? They won’t sing washawa say”, he added

He made this comment after Cecilia Marfo was made to trend following her infamous ”Washawa say’ song.
