Famous Ghanaian gospel musician, Cecilia Marfo has made revelations on how she is able to sing in English despite being uneducated.
The gospel musician who has been on timelines of many Ghanaians on social media following the way and manner she sings in English has said that whenever she is immersed in the Holy Spirit she only sing in English although she is not educated.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on Monday 8th November she mentioned that whenever she is in the realm of the spirit she only sing English songs and Twi songs do not come in mind.
”When I’m immersed by the Holy Spirit, I only sing English songs. I have a number of them there. Because I could not go to School, I don’t speak good English but when it gets to the point that I have to use the English language, whatever that comes to mind I use it. Fortunately God makes people to understand what I mean and they get happy about it”, she said.
She noted that even though people tease her it can’ deter her from singing in English and nothing else can.
She added that she doesn’t see any song as ”worldly’ or ”secular” because most songs come in the form of advice and inspiration.
