A former District Chief Executive for the Sekyere Afram Plains District Mr. Fuseinii Donkor has revealed that the President of Ghana Nana Addo gave the Aflao chief a commen Sammy Gyamfi describes as cheeky because the chief and Nana Addo has a ‘beef’.
He made this comment following President Nana Addo’s comment that the Aflao chief should complete the E-block he has been complaining about if he feels he is tired and frustrated.
The Chief of Aflao Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V gave the government a four-month ultimatum to complete the E-block when the minority on the Education Committee in Parliament paid a courtesy call on him.
The school which was built under the erstwhile John Mahama’s administration is 90 percent complete and has been abandoned after the former President left office hence compelling the chief to complain about it.
Nana Addo in an interview with Chairman General asked the chief to complete the School building himself after hearing from the host that the chief has given his government a four-month ultimatum.
Reacting to Nana Addo’s comment Mr. Fuseini Donkor said the President made that comment because he has a problem with the Aflao chief over some political comment.
He went on to say that the Aflao chief stated in the open in the past that he will campaign for John Mahama and also promised him some 80,000 votes during the election.
The President has a problem with the chief. You have gone to get 80,000 votes for John Mahama and you come back to tell me your school is not completed. The President was angry but the Genesis of the matter is that the President thinks the chief didn’t do well”, he stated in an interview on Okya FM.
