1248 motorbikes have been presented to the assembly members in the Eastern region by the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development.
The purpose of the motorbikes is to governance at the local level effective and accessible.
In a bid to make the work of 33 Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) in the Eastern Region efficient JSA Logistics Ghana Limited supplied the motorbikes.
The motorbikes were presented by the Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong on behalf of the Local Government Ministry and he asked the MDAs to use the motorbikes judiciously.
The Dean of Presiding Members in the Eastern Region Michael Ahwireng thanked the government and vowed to used the motorbikes for their ideal purpose to improve rural development after receiving the bikes.
