Sensational tennis star, Andy Murray is currently in the news and pleading for the safe arrival of his wedding ring and smelly tennis sneakers which were taken after his own ‘horrible plan’ to leave them under his vehicle overnight.
The 3-time Grand Slam victor, 34, is currently in California for the Indian Wells competition, where he was allowed to compete with a wildcard.
Since Andy Murray can’t wear his wedding ring whiles playing on the court, he generally attaches it to his shoelaces for safety’s sake however it has been stolen by an unidentified person together with shoes. Andy Murray has since pursued for the safe return of his wedding ring.
This is what Murray had to say about his smelling tennis sneakers and wedding ring;
”Last night after dinner in Indian Wells, I got back in the car to go back to the hotel and the car didn’t smell great. I left my tennis shoes in there and it’s been 38C here so my shoes were very sweaty, damp and smelly.
I decided when I got back to the hotel, the shoes needed some air to dry them out a bit. I don’t have a balcony in my room and I didn’t want to leave them in my room as it would stink the room out.
So I though I’ll leave the shoes underneath the car to get some air to them and dry them out overnight. When I bot back to the car in the morning, the shoes were gone. My tennis shoes for the tournament had been stolen so I had to go to a local pro shop to buy different shoes. Not the end of the world but not ideal.
I tie my wedding ring to my shoes when I’m playing because I can’t play with it on my hand. So my wedding ring has been stolen as well so, needless to say, I am in the bad books at home so I want to try and find it.
So if anyone can share this or have any clue where they may be, it would be very helpful if I could get it back or get to the bottom of it.
In his caption he added; Yes I know I’m an idiot and in hindsight it seems like a terrible idea but I need some help. What should the reward be for getting it back? ”
