Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is optimistic that the next Governor to succeed him in 2024 will be elected on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking on the party’s preparation towards the 2023 election he noted that all PDP Governors are working in unison to make sure that the party sees victory.
Governor Wike mentioned that he will make sure to complete all projects before handling over to whoever will succeed him.
“No one project awarded by this administration will remain abandoned before we leave on the 29 May 2023”, he said.
He stressed that the PDP party will take over Rivers State seat because they made promise to the people and they fulfiled it.
“Let nobody bother himself, PDP will take over Rivers State again because it is very obvious. Why will PDP take over? We will take over because we have made promises to you and we have fulfilled the promises.”
He made this comment while addressing a crowd of PDP at Port Harcourt who had come to receive APC defectors.
