The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) Percival Kofi Akpaloo has opined that the Takoradi woman who faked her pregnancy and kidnap, her mother, husband and all linked to the falsehood must be jailed to serve as warning to others.
He noted that if they are jailed it will serve as a deterrent to other Ghanaians who have same intention or about planning something similar.
Mr. Akpaloo also hailed the Ghana Police Service for their good work done as far as Josephine’s case is concerned.
”That’s a good move. The law must work. This lady shouldn’t be spared at all, the mother, husband and whoever is connected should be jailed to serve as a deterrent to like-minded Ghanaians who always peddle falsehood in the country to cause fear and panic”, Mr. Akpaloo stated.
The Director General responsible for Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori has said that there is a high possibility that the woman at the center of the falsehood will be prosecuted.
Mr. Akpaloo while still reacting to Josephine’s case stated that there may be even political hands in the case and so the security agency should do well and arrest such people.
”There may be even political hands in the matter so I believe our security agencies should be up and doing to arrest those people. How can a woman fake her pregnancy and kidnapping and make everyone think there is insecurity in the country?…law must not spare her at all.”, angry Mr. Akpaloo stated.
