Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin has disclosed that government is in the process of procuring much bigger aircraft which will be used for presidential travels.
At a press briefing on Monday at the Jubilee House Eugene Arhin said; “Government is already in the process of acquiring a bigger jet for use”.
He made this revelation while answering a question on what government intends to do as far as the procuring of presidential craft which will accommodate the President and his entourage on official foreign trips since the current one can’t perform that purpose.
Eugene explained that government’s intention of buying a bigger aircraft is geared towards saving cost on the travels of the President. He further noted that the Defence Minister will make further explanation of the move at the appropriate time.
The President’s choice of aircraft which he uses for his trips in recent times have garnered massive attention in the country due to the cost of it.
Meanwhile former member of Parliament for Kpone Katamanso has said that the #fixthecountry campaign lacks a sense of direction.
