More Females In Ghana Than Males-2021 Population Census Result

The 2021 Population and Housing Census provisional results has been released by the Ghana Statistical Service .

Based on the provisional results released by GSS the country’s population now stands at 30.8 million which seems to have increased by 6.1 million from the 24.7 million where the country stood as at 2010, according to GSS.

Just as world wide it has been proven that there are more women than men, the 2021 population census of Ghana seems to be towing the same path.

The provisional figures indicates that there are more females to men in the country as it continue to be the norm for four census now.

Overall, the percentage of females make up 50.7% of the population and males make up 49.3%.
