On Monday September, 20 2021, robbers who attacked a woman at Achimota Old Station around midday shot a motor rider.

Mark Bryon of UTV who was speaking from the scene disclosed that the robbers trailed the woman who had withdrawn money worth GHS20,000 from the Universal Merchant Bank, Abeka branch.
The reporter noted that the robbers who were asking for the money from the woman who was driving in her car mistook the motor rider for a police man and shot him.
The woman in a bid to prevent the motor rider from being killed, handed over the money to the robbers who then left the scene.
Some military team in the area arrived at the scene but didn’t meet the thieves.
