Former National uth Organizer of the NDC Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan has subtly said that the former President of Ghana and the three-time Presidential candidate of the NDC, John Mahama will be challenged in the NDC’s flagbearer race by former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Kwabena Duffour.
According to him he will throw all his weight behind the former Governor if he aspires as the flagbearer of the NDC.
Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia show he stated that its time the NDC selected a leader who can sit down to use his brain as well as the youngsters to execute work for the party.
”At this point in time in the NDC…we need someone who can sit down and be able to use his brain and use the youngsters around him to run an errand for him. They should stop playing the age card in politics because it will not help us. If Dr. Duffour opens his mouth to say he will contest, I will be the first person to support him”, he pointed.
”We need a leader who can sit and think of good governance and proper politics. Governance is not about running a race and playing football”, he noted.
He also added that John Mahama hasn’t publicly declared his intentions to run the Presidential race.
