Hajia Mariama Bawumia, the late mother of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who died on Monday 13th September 2021 has finally been put to rest at Walewale in the North East Region of Ghana.
The mortal remains was buried close to where her husband Mumuni Bawumia was laid to rest in Walewale at their house.
After suffering from a short illness, Hajia Mariama was said to have peacefully passed on on Monday.
The late Mariama who was born on September 15, 1939 died at age 82 and would have celebrated her birthday few days ahead but unfortunately she died.
Yesterday the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo was at the family house of Dr. Bawumia to mourn with the family.
Some top figures such as Freddie Blay, Sammy Awuku, John Boadu and many others were at the funeral grounds of Hajia Mariama.
