The Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia has taken to social media to pay a tribute to her mother in-law Hajia Mariama Bawumia.

According to Samira, Hajia Mariama was a special person to the family and her death leaves a vacuum in the lives of the family.
Hajia Mariama passed on on Monday 13th September 2021 after suffering from a short illness.
News gathered is that she has been buried on Tuesday 14th September in accordance with Islamic traditions.
In a post on Instagran, Samira wrote; ”Today has been very difficult for my family, after the painful demise of my mother-in-law, Hajia Mariama. Hajia was very special and her death leaves a vacuum in our lives”.
