Despite many Ghanaians condemning former President John Mahama’s do or die comment, founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has said that there is nothing wrong with the comment.
Speaking on Neat FM, the man of God recalled his footballing days where whenever they faced tough games or opposition they described it as a ‘do or die” so they can put out their best to win the match. He stated that it never meant they should carry weapons to the pitch or to kill anyone.
He said it meant that the team needed more preparation to overcome their opponent.
To him the idiom used by the former President means that he needs to do his home work well so he can face 2024 election well.
He noted that the President can also see the 2024 as a ‘do or die affair but it doesn’t necessarily means a machete must be brought out to kill one another.
This comment comes after John Mahama mentioned in an interview on Akina FM that 2024 election will be a ‘do or die affair’.
