On Friday the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly busted a women who was carrying 15 cartoons of unwholesome chicken at Mebrom near Racecourse market.
The KMA task force who carried out the operation on Friday suspected the 15 cartoons of chicken which the woman identified as Abiba was carrying to be rotten.
She was arrested while transporting it to Adankwame and Asuofia for commercial purpose.
According to spokesperson for the Assembly, Henrietta Aboagye, the woman after being arrested led the police and Environmental Health officers to the Asafo Market where he had bought the chicken.
The spokesperson further said that the person who sold the chicken to the suspect has been detained along with the suspect.
The suspect speaking to the police said she bought the rotten chicken at half of its original price.
Advising the public, madam Henrietta advised the general public to be cautious of such unwholesome chicken.
