Staunch member of the ruing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Otchere-Darko has said that it fascinates him that the anti-corruption apostles in the country have suddenly gone mute on government’s bold step to reduce the cost of building hospitals in districts in the country.
Mr. Otchere in his post on twitter stated that these anti-corruption bodies must gather the courage to give credit to Nana Addo’s administration because it is due them.
I am a fascinated that the anti-corruption apostles have been sensationally quiet on the fact that a Ghana Govt has found a way to slash the cost of putting up a district hospital, fully equipped, by more than half! We must have the courage to give credit where due.
Meanwhile on 17th August 2021, the President cut a sod to commence the construction of agenda 111 at Tserede in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
”The construction will see to the provision of two specialized hospitals, one for the middle belt and one for the Northern part, these are the psychiatric hospitals and then redevelopment of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital”, Mr. Kojo Oppong stated while reacting to rumours that Nana Addo promised to build 88 hospitals within a year.
”It is programmed to take between 12 months to complete each one. The project implementation committee chaired by Chief of Staff Madam Akosuah Frema Osei Opare has currently secured 88 of the 101 sites”, he added.
