The former President John Mahama’s Special Aide, Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe has lamented on the continous cutting of hospital projects by President Nana Addo Dankwa yet nothing is seen done about the projects.
According to him the President is fond of not honouring his promise as he keeps cutting sods for hospital projects but none has seen the light of day.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ show he noted that all what the Nana Addo led administration does best is to borrow and feed themselves and not borrow and execute projects.
”You have borrowed severally and if health infrastructure is your priority, what do you do? Health has never been a priority matter for the Akufo-Addo government. The priority of the Akufo-Addo government is consumption. They borrow to feed themselves and not borrow to do infrastructure projects,” he stated.
He noted that the public debt which stood at GHS 122 billion during former President Mahama’s administration has risen to GHS 322 billion since Nana Addo assumed office according to figures by the Bank of Ghana.
Mr. Tamakloe added that Nana Addo keeps making promises on building hospitals with sods cut for some but till date nothing has been done.
