Special Aide to former President John Mahama, Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe strongly believes that the President, Nana Addo’s priority is not health infrastructure but to borrow and squander.
He noted that the public debt which stood at GHS 122 billion during former President Mahama’s administration has risen to GHS 322 billion since Nana Addo assumed office according to figures by the Bank of Ghana.
Speaking on ‘Ade Akye Abia’ show hosted on Okay FM, lawyer Temakloe noted that all that Akuffo-Addo’s government know is about consuming and not building infrastructures.
”You have borrowed severally and if health infrastructure is your priority, what do you do? Health has never been a priority matter for the Akufo-Addo government. The priority of the Akufo-Addo government is consumption. They borrow to feed themselves and not borrow to do infrastructure projects,” he stated.
“Even the agenda 111 project start-up money was taken from Ghana Investment Infrastructure Fund (GIIF) set up by former President John Dramani Mahama in 2014 . . .” he noted.
He added that Nana Addo keeps making promises on building hospitals with sods cut for some but till date nothing has been done.
