Newly sworn in Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng has said that he will fight corruption in Ghana just as Nana Addo did in fight the health crisis which hit the country not long ago.
Kissi Agyebeng who said Ghana has been plagued with health crisis and corruption during his sworing in ceremony at the Jubilee House vowed to fight corruption.
He noted that though corruption is not a health crisis he considers it as a pandemic which the country is confronted with.
”Mr. President we are confronted with two pandemics, one is a health crisis and its outlook is very macabre. The other is not a health crisis, but is also a pandemic, and that is corruption and corruption related activities”, he stated.
The zeal with which your administration has approached the fight in respect to the health crisis, I also see and respect the other pandemic which is corruption, and as I come into this office, I pledge to the people of Ghana as I said two weeks ago, that I am going to work assiduously to suppress and repress corruption.
Mr. Kissi Agyebeng is the second person to fill the office of the Special Prosecutor following Martin Amidu’s resignation.
