Latest report gathered by Pinaxnews.com indicates that youth of certain communities in Kwahu West in the Eastern Region has promised never to stop illegal mining (galamsey) if the public authority wouldn’t provide them with jobs.

This same galamsey has prompted the lost of life of some youth in the community yet some of them are as yet reluctant to stop the unlawful digging exercises and searches for an alternate occupation in cpmmunity.
In an interview with some of these youth in the galamsey communities, they are not prepared to stop the unlawful mining exercises to add to the battle against galamsey but instead will keep on with the illegal mining exercises until government provides jobs them.
