Famous Ghanaian singer, Brother Sammy has said that in a bid to avoid temptation he has stopped standing in front of a congregation to sing whenever its time for offertory.
Reacting to the popular notion that old gospel artistes made great and spirit-filled music than today’s gospel artiste he noted that most of the old artiste can’t withstand the temptation contemporary artiste are faced with today.
He explained stating that most women today go to church with their chest uncovered and they busily roam the church during praises and offertory time all for attention.
Brother Sammy noted that in the past women covered themselves up but today they lift their b0*bs to dance during praises and offertory time.
These days women show a lot of flesh during worship. We are doing better. You cannot compare the temptations in the olden days to today. I have stopped standing in front of the congregation to accept offerings because the kind of ladies walking during that period is unacceptable”, he said on the ‘United Shobiz’ show.
He added that the new era gospel artiste deserve awards because of how they have been able to stand temptations.
