A 22-year-old man has stabbed his father, Akwesi Dagatsi to death at Assin Manso in the Central Region of Ghana.
The young man identified as Akwesi Mensah after killing the father on Friday evening around 5:30PM reported himself to the police in the area.
Some relatives of the deceased, speaking on Kasapa FM disclosed that the man had told them that he had a mentally challenged son who was living with the mum somewhere else.
They disclosed that due to the young man’s mental health issues he was brought to his father to be taken care of after which the father drugged him to sleep and took his blood samples for medical examination at Ankaful.
After Akwesi woke up he was displeased with what his father had done hence taking a knife to his father’s work place-(corn miller) and subsequently stabbing him on his back and on his chest.
The 45-year-old deceased man was said to have died even before people rushed to the scene. His body has been deposited at the morgue.
