The Special Prosecutor nominee, Kissi Agyebeng has appeared before the Appointment Committee of Parliament for vetting on his nomination.
While the vetting was ongoing he was questioned on his involvement in the infamous Agyapa deal but he stated emphatically that he was never involved in that transaction.
He denied ever having a hand whatsoever in the controversial Agyapa Royalties deal as it was speculated by his critics following his nomination as Special Prosecutor this year by the Attorney General Godfred Dame.
When asked by again if he fits into the position of Special Prosecutor looking at the experience of his predecessor Martin Amidu. He stated that he is his own man with his own experiences and wouldn’t want to act like someone.
He added that those speaking on the issue of he being you should bare it in mind that he qualifies as the President of Ghana at age 43.
