Latest information picked up by Pinaxnews.com indicates that a police officer recognized as Constable Abubakar Yakubu of Counter-Terrorism Unit(CTU) has been captured for spear heading in a robbery attack with his accomplices.
As indicated by examinations by the police, Constable Yakubu drove a gathering of men to assault one Sampson Gyamfi who was seated at Soldier Bar with his colleagues. The report proceeded with that the cop requested Sampson to give up the keys to his Black Chevrolet vehicle which he rejected.
The report added that the refusal of Sampson to give up the keys to him brought about a battle with Constable Yakubu jumping on him and coercively taking the keys to the vehicle from him. The cop and his accomplices assaulted another friend who was sitting down and took his gold chain worth a whopping 2,400 cedis.
Sampson in the wake of getting the chance to run did so and reported to the closest police station and narrated the episode to the police who followed him to the location of the occurrence.
After seeing the police, some of the accomplices who went with Constable Yakubu to do the demonstration ran away however one of them recognized as Kwasi Darko was captured.
The police recovered a couple of cuffs a police ID card and the vehicle keys of Sampson’s vehicle after a search was done on Constable Yakubu.
