Some residents of Jerusalem town near Kojokrom in Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis in the Western Region have beaten a young man suspected to be in his 20s to a pulp for allegedly stealing a car battery.
The robber who is said to be a resident of Nkansah Park, near Jerusalem town is identified as Uncle.
Eyewitnesses say the thief was in the company of his friend when he stole a car battery and some undisclosed amount of money from a vehicle, but unfortunately some residents raised an alarm on them.
Luckily for his friend he escaped the scene but uncle was unable to do same and he was beaten to a pulp and dumped in a pool of blood by a foot path that leads to the community.
The assembly member of Nketsiakrom Electoral Area was said to have reported the incident to the thief’s family who came for him and rushed him to a Hospital.
