The President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo has apologized to Wa Naa, Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV over the military brutalities which was hurled at the residents of Wa few days ago.
Few days ago some newly passed out military men harassed and subjected some residents in the Upper West region of Ghana with claims that the phone of one of them had gone missing.
Following the beatings meted on the residents of the area some of them were severally traumatized and some sustained fractured bones.
The President applauded the Wa Naa for exhibiting statesmanship in a difficult time when his people had been beaten.
He said the Wa Naa addressing the issue of the military brutalities spoke like the traditional ruler that he is.
”So I have come to add my voice to that of the soldiers as well as the Ministers for Defence to say how sorry I am about the incident and to let you know that we will do everything possible to make sure that such an incident is not repeated”, he stated.
Meanwhile due to weather conditions the President’s landing delayed on Tuesday, 13th July, 2021.
