NPP’s Chairman for Bono region, Kwame Bafo well known as Abronye DC has said that all former First and Second Ladies who ever received allowances from the state must return it.
He says they must return the monies because those allowances they enjoyed were illegal since none of them is an office holder.
He made this call after the First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Second Lady Samira Bawumia announced refunding monies paid them since the NPP party assumed office in 2017.
The two announced refunding the allowances after the citizens of Ghana stood against payment for the spouses of the President and Vice President which was approved by the Prof. Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu Committee.
Speaking on Starr FM, Abronye disclosed that he is trying to amend his action at the Supreme Court that all emoluments given to the First and Second Ladies should be declared null and void and should be returned.
