The Interior Minister Mr. Ambrose Derry has extended the 3-member committee’s working period in probing the Ejura disturbance that occurred on 29th July 2021.
This was after the committee on Thursday 8th July 2021 asked for an extension with regards to its work on the investigation.
According to the committee in a statement their working period must be extended by 6 days so that they can complete the task given them.
The Interior Minister in a letter dated 9th July stated that he has approved the committee’s request for an extension from the initial 9th July to 16th July 2021.
The committee was set up under the instructions of the President following the murder of Anyass Ibrahim Mohammed also known as Kaaka and the shooting of two people in the Ejura disturbance.
