Self acclaimed queen of Ghana Music, Wendy Addo, prevalently known as Wendy Shay, has expressed that a few artistes are given honors regardless of whether they don’t merit them.
She made this case in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM. The ‘Masakra’ hit-maker said there are two kinds of artistes in the Ghanaian music industry.
She referenced artistes in the industry and industry artistes. Wendy Shay labeled herself as an artiste in the industry and as per her, the industry artistes are individuals’ top choices who have been spoiled. The Rufftown Records artiste affirmed industry artistes are given honors regardless of whether they don’t merit them.
Because of this, she said she would not like to burn through the hour of her fans to cast a ballot in the new Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after she was nominated adding that it was clear she was not going to win.
