Former President John Dramani Mahama and his running mate in the 2020 election, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, sets record as the first people to use the Ho Airport after its commissioning this year.
The former Presidential candidate on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and his running mate flew from Kumasi to Ho Airpot on Passion Air.
This Airport was constructed by the former President Mahama and was commissioned in 2021. It finally being used for commercial purpose despite criticisms the idea of constructing the Airport received.
A post by NDC on tweeted read;
”John Mahama & Prof. Naana Opoku Agyemang are the first to fly from Ho Airport to Kumasi. The flight landed at Ho Airport on Passion Air en route to Kumasi, the first of its kind. The Airport was constructed by @JDMahama to open up the Volta Region & boost the tourism potential”.
