President Nana Addo Instructs Interior Minister To Conduct Public Inquiry Into Ejura Chaos

The President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo has instructed the Interior Minister, Hon. Ambrose Derry to conduct a public Inquiry into circumstances that led to the unfortunate occurrence in Ejura on Tuesday June 29, 2021.

”The President of the Republic, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has instructed the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Derry, MP to conduct, forthwith, a Public Inquiry into the circumstances that led to the unfortunate occurrences of Tuesday, June 29th 2021.”

In a release dated 30th June the President noted that the Interior Minister is to provide detailed report from the Inquiry with recommendations from appropriate action within ten days. Clearly the report should be ready by 9th July 2021.

The President also expressed sadness over the murder of the social media activist, Kaaka and the two others who were shot dead during a protest in the area.
