While some critics in the gospel music fraternity have resorted to criticize Kidi he has clapped back at them.
The ‘Say Cheese’ hit maker noted that since he lost the VGMA Artiste of the Year award to gospel singer, Diana Hamilton a lot of people are on his neck with comments such as ”how dare you go against God?
He made this revelation while commenting on how some gospel critics are treating him after he lost to Diana Hammilton.
“You think you can come and beat ‘Adom’ with ‘Say Cheese’ and I am like, am I devil, am I demon?” he quizzed. He continued saying; ” e b work I dey work, I no kill person, we are people happy through our music”.
“I keep saying this all the time that most of the Gospel musicians are the most hypocrites. Yes, you are a Christian but it doesn’t make you more righteous than me, the fact that I am doing ‘Say Cheese and ‘Enjoyment’ doesn’t make me less righteous,” he stressed.
He added that these same self acclaimed Christians go for weddings and after enjoying gospel songs they enjoy secular songs like his ‘Say Cheese’, Enjoyment and more yet today they want to make him look like the devil
