Two persons have been arrested by police in the Ashanti Region in connection with the killing of one Ibrahim Muhammed, a social media activists.
The 35-year-old social media activist in Ejura well known as Kaaka is reported to have been ambushed in front of his house when he was returning home on his motorbike at about 1:30 am on Saturday 27th June 2021.
The victim was then rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi and he was put on oxygen but unfortunately passed away on Monday.
The two suspects arrested are identified as Ibrahim Isaka and Fusieni Alhassan.
According to ASP Godwin Ahianyo, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, the two suspects were arrested at around 10:45pm on Monday, 28th June.
Reports indicates that series of threats to his life prior to his death was reported to the police but no action has been taken.
He was said to be a member of the #fixthecountry movement.
