Some parts of the Greater Accra Region have been flooded after a 5-hour downpour on Saturday, 26th June 2021.

The heavy downpour caused massive traffic in the Ghana’s capital as many places were flooded making it difficult for vehicles to move at their normal speed.
Most Ghanaians who were in town before the rains were left stranded since vehicles found it difficult to navigate through the floods to pick people to their various destinations.
Areas like Weija Barrier, Haatso stretch, Okponglo, UPSA, Shiashie and many others were all flooded.
With Shiashie some car owners left their cars in the flood because they were unable to move with it.
