A Komenda SHS female student has been given 40 strokes of canes by the headmistress of the school, Ama Sika for leaving the school premises without exeat.
The student, Mensah Sarafina, has had her buttocks sored after she received the lashes.
Report indicates that Sarafina left campus with her mates on 20th June for the house to take food to campus because she is a border.
Speaking on Kasapa FM, the victim noted that at around 4pm on Monday the headmistress ordered she and friend to kneel down which they did. But after kneeling down the headmistress gave the victim 40 strokes of canes on her backside, hence making blood to clot at that area of her body.
Sarafina then showed what happened to her to the headmistress but she asked Sarafina to wait till the next day to go for the infirmary for medical treatment but the victim went to the hospital instead.
The incident has since been report to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU).
