Managing Editor at Insight newspaper, Kwasi Pratt Junior has rubbished the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) global index report that has ranked Ghana as 2nd most peaceful country in Africa.
The country is also ranked the 38th in the world out of 163 countries.
However, Kwasi Pratt isn’t excited about the ranking as he argues that the country has more to do as far as its security is concerned.
According to him the current security situation in the country is worse and its a clear contradiction of what the survey speaks to.
”When you look at Mobile Money operators who have been shot, in fact two have been shot just this morning and you look at the bullion vans attacks and so forth, and someone tells us Ghana is one of the most peaceful countries in the world; what does that mean?”, he quizzed.
He added that all the citizens in the country are living in fear and panic.
They should stop saying those things…Ghana is second peaceful country in Africa and so what?, he stated.
