The Convention People’s Party’s General Secretary Nana Yaa Jantuah has said Ghana ranked the second most peaceful country in Africa in the 2021 Global Peace Index report sounds like a PR gimmick.
She says the report is very suspicious as some one might be behind it.
“Anytime the NPP is being bashed for any wrongdoing or irregularity, then boom reports come out to say otherwise.”
“The NPP is excellent when it comes to PR and I will not be surprised if they influenced an international body to come out with such a report,” she said.
Speaking on Happy FM, she said her party raised issues of security threats and instability and suddenly a report comes out that Ghana is the second most peaceful country in Africa. She says the report is suspicious.
Madam Jantuah noted that NPP members are PR gurus who change things to favour them most times.
They wear suits with pocket squares and bath in private jets so I will not be surprised if the report is directly from the NPP,” she added.
She made this comment following the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) ranking Ghana as the second most peaceful African country in its 2021 Global Peace Index report.
