Following the spike in crime cases and the popular perception in recent times that Ghana is no longer safe like it used to be, Interior Minister Ambrose Derry has trashed the perception.
He is of the view that if its truly unsafe like some people claim why will other African nationals come to the country.
Some Ghanaians have criticized the Nana Addo’s administration for not coming up with measures to curb the rise in crime cases.
The Minority leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu who argues that the president hasn’t manned up as the leader of the Arm Forces that he is.
“What we should know is that the criminals continue to change the modules and we have to be changing with them and the police is doing all it can. We have not lost control. I always want to emphasise that, we need to go to neighbouring countries to see what is happening there, but we are not in the same league with them.”
“We want to do better than we are doing now, but believe me, Ghana is safe; that is why all the other countries are running to Ghana”, he quizzed.
