Latest information reaching our outfit indicates that a 56-year-old occupant of Asafo in the Ashanti Region, Samuel Kwadwo Fordjour, met his untimely demise when fire gutted a structure situated nearby.
As indicated by the report, the structure was on fire for around two hours before officials of the Ghana Fire Service showed up to quench the fire.
According to some witnesses, right before the arrival of the fire fighters, the casualty was heard by neighbors calling for help from the middle of the fiery blaze. The fire, as per observers is suspected to have begun from the late Kwadwo Fordjour’s room on the highest level.
The episode has officially displaced nine inhabitants. In the interim, examinations are being done by the Ghana Fire Service to discover the reason for the outbreak.
