Pinaxnews.com earlier reported that Pro footballer, Sergio Ramos will leave Real Madrid on Thursday, July 17, 2021 in the wake of failing to concede to another agreement with the Spanish giants.
Sergio Ramos, 35, has gone through the most recent 16 years at Real Madrid. During that spell, he scored 101 goals in 671 appearances, winning four Champions League and five La Liga titles.
In any case, Ramos and Real have now called time on his period in the Spanish capital. Ramos will leave even before his agreement expires at the month’s end.
A statement from the club reads;
”Real Madrid CF announces that tomorrow, Thursday, June 17, at 12:30pm, there will be an international act of tribute and farewell to our captain Sergio Ramos, with the presence of our president Florentino Perez.
Well, Sergio Ramos while addressing the media said he needed two additional years however that they gave him one with a salary cut, yet before he could choose, they took back the offer as revealed by The Mirror and Football London.
This is what he had to say; ”I never wanted to leave Real Madrid, always wanted to continue here. The club offered me one year, with a drop in salary. I wanted 2-years, for me and my family. Then I was told that the offer from the club was no longer there, time had run out, and I had not realised. I decided to accept the offer, I thought was still on the table, but they said it was by now too late.
He added; I was never told that there was an expiry date to the offer. I though it was just part of the negotiation as always has happened over 16-years but then I was told time had run out”.
