Ghana Police Don’t Have Bulletproof Vest But They Want To Buy Bulletproof Curtains For Parliament-Efia Odo

Famous Ghanaian actress and media personality Efia Odo has bemoaned the current state of insecurity and the spike in crime cases in Ghana.

Few days ago a police man and a hawker were killed in a broad day light robbery near Jamestown after which the robbers bolted away with money that was in the bullion van they attacked.

A number of people including some junior police officers have lamented on the limited protective gears for police officers who protects citizens.

According to Efia Odo many police officers do not have bulletproof vest yet the parliamentarians want to buy bulletproof curtains which will be used in parliament.

The actress believes strongly that equipping the police with right protective gear should be the utmost priority of the state yet that isn’t been looked at with so much attention.

”Crime is in every part of the world. Ghanaian police men and women are not equipped with the right protective gear. They don’t even have bullet proof vest but they want to purchase bulletproof curtains for parliament. This is what fix the country is also about”, she tweeted.
