The former Mayor for Greater Accra, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije argues that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will do better in the upcoming 2024 election if it retains John Dramani Mahama as flagbearer.
In an interview with Citi Tv’s Umaru Sanda, the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency said the former President pulled an impressive number of votes in his previous attempts.
For this reason he believes that giving Mahama another chance will go a long way to benefit the party.
“He has really increased our votes and our support. I think NDC will do better if we retain him,” he said.
In the 2020 general election Mr. Mahama garnered 47.37 percent votes according to the electoral commission and the former Mayor believes this is impressive.
