The Food And Drugs Board Authority (FDA) has on Tuesday June 15 shut down the meat section of Shoprite at the Accra Mall.
This comes following reports that they were selling thawed imported frozen chicken as fresh local chicken to their customers.
A viral video posted by Graphiconline has the inspectors of the FDA taping the whole area of the meat section with no frozen product spotted on the shelves.
Reports indicate that the FDA may take similar action at all branches of Shoprite in Ghana.
