The Ghana Police Service filed a case to court seeking to halt a street protest by the #fixthecountry campaigners and an Accra High Court has adjourned the case to June 21.
The court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey adjourned the case to 21st June 2021 over late filing of documents.
Regardless, last week a Supreme Court ruling set aside the ruling of an Accra High Court asking the protestors not to protest indefinitely.
The Supreme Court presided over by Justice Yaw Appau noted that the indefinite bar by the Accra High Court which prevent #fixthecountry demonstrators from protesting on May 9 was erroneous.
Efia Odo after the case was adjourned has taken to her twitter account to educate the Ghana police service.
In her tweet she noted that protest doesn’t mean riot. She might have made this comment because she might be feeling the police have a different view as far as protest is concerned.
