Ghanaian actress and social media influencer Efia Odo has asserted the aggression of the Ghana police to stop #fixthecountry protesters from demonstrating is unnecessary.
She believes the police should rather help them demonstrate rather than be a hindrance because they (police) are not being paid well by government.
The aggression to stop this demonstration is totally unnecessary. If the police were paid well some of them won’t be stopping big cars and asking for 20 cedis, I’ve witnessed it. They even take money from Uber drivers. What are you people so afraid of? We have a right to protest,” she tweeted.
The actress made this comment following the Supreme Court setting aside the ruling of an Accra High Court preventing the protestors from demonstrating yet the police still holds that they cannot demonstrate until it goes back to the Accra High Court in June 14.
