A 36-year-old scrap dealer identified as Kofi Tietia has committed suicide by hanging at Nsukwao near Koforidua in New Juaben South.

He is said to be a drug addict who resorted to the scrap dealer work in order to be able to purchase the drugs.
Background checks indicates that he was part of some suspects who murdered a lady who was on her way to the market last year but Kofi escaped. The other three involved were arrested and prosecuted but Kofi who escaped only reappeared again hanging on a mango tree, dead.
His mortal remains has reportedly been deposited at St. Joseph Hospital Morgue.
