Information reaching Pinaxnews.com indicates that two individuals were arrested after French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped by a man during a walkabout meeting with a group in the Drome area in southeastern France, BFM TV and RMC radio investigated Tuesday.

The video which is currently going viral on social media shows a man in a green T-Shirt, with glasses and a face mask, shout out “Down with Macronia” (A Bas La Macronie) and afterward landed a heavy slap on President Macron’s face.
President Macron’s security guards immediately interceded to pull the man to the ground and moved President Macron away from the crowd to prevent any unforeseen circumstances.
