Latest report gathered from the world of football indicates that the French national team coach, Didier Deschamps has taunted Jose Mourinho’s spell at Tottenham Hotspur, saying he expected quite more from Mourinho’s spell in North London.
Mourinho who has as of late been selected as the new boss of Serie A giants AS Roma, was responsible for Spurs between November 2019 and April 2021, 17 months subsequent to being named as the replacement to Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
The 58-year-old previous Chelsea manager as of late gave his appraisal on the forthcoming European Championships marking France as top picks, expressing that they “need to win” the competition to be effective.
However, Deschamps considered that to be an unobtrusive burrow and has fired back at Mourinho referring to his poor spell being in charge of Tottenham Hotspur.
Conversing with French TV outlet TF1, Deschamps said:
”I thought the same thing about this Tottenham team, but it did not end up happening like that. Automatically, with the status of world champions, we are favorites, with 3 more years of experience. I have a very important offensive potential. But not just that. You talk about balance but I don’t disconnect them from our midfield too. We will do everything to have the ball as much as possible but there will be times when we will not have the ball.
He added; ”It is not a pressure, it is reality, we will not run away from the debate; France is one of the favourite for this Euro”
